Regular Events

Here are our regular weekly events – please use the numbers below to contact the event organisers for more details.

Our Sunday Service which is open to all starts at 2:30pm for about an hour with a chance to enjoy a cup of tea and a chat afterwards. Contact 0161 483 3906.

On Mondays during term time the MAIA Singers rehearse in our hall from 7:30pm until 9:30pm.

On Tuesdays we have an open Community Coffee Lounge from 10:00 am until 12:00 noon where you can enjoy a hot or cold drink and a chat. Contact 07758 557677

On Tuesday afternoon we have Tai Chi Qigong from 12:45pm until 1:45pm. Contact 07958791028

Also on Tuesday afternoons from 2:00pm to 4:00pm is the Knit n Natter group -all are welcome.

On the second Thursday of the month from March to December, Stockport Horticultural Society meet in the lounge from 2:00pm until 4:00pm. For more information please see the website at www.stockhort.org.uk

On Thursdays from September to May Stockport Community Folk Dance Club meet from 2:00pm until 4:00pm.

The school is also used as a base by Stockport U3A (the university of the third age) for meetings of several groups on different days including the film, computing and family history groups. For more information please see the website at https://u3asites.org.uk/stockport/welcome

About the building

Compass Point is the new home of Stockport Sunday School. Built in 2012, it is a single storey purpose built building designed to meet the needs of a modern community centre. It has a fully equipped kitchen, a cosy lounge with serving hatch from the kitchen and a spacious main hall which can seat up to 120 people or can be sub-divided into two rooms each with corridor access.
The whole building is wheelchair friendly with wide doorways, ramp from the car park, step free access from the public footpath and DDA compliant toilet facilities.
There is a car park for up to 24 cars including 2 designated disabled parking spaces as well as unrestricted parking at the roadside.
The building is served throughout with Free Wifi open to the public.

Kites Theatre Group

Kites is a theatre group based at the Triangle and performing a pantomime at Compass Point in February each year.

The Triangle – home of Lancashire Hill Sunday School.

Lancashire Hill Sunday School is the last remaining of the branch schools. It relocated to a new building in 1989 and continues to serve the community in Heaton Norris / South Reddish.
